FRIDAY CRYPTO FLASHBACK!
This week was wild in crypto world, but it ended up with crypto prices edging up but stock and global markets looked bearish. Here are the things we discussed this week:
On Monday we discussed ETH vs ETH2. You may have noticed on crypto platforms that ETH is being converted to ETH 2. The 2 versions of Ether will be merged and combined into a single token. Also, they are now making STAKING the process that will replace mining to verify ETH transactions once the merge is completed.😳🤷🏾♀️
On Tuesday we saw Bitcoin drop by $800 (down from $20K) in just a couple of minutes after the word came out about the US economy that put U.S. inflation at 9.1%. And because of the inflation news, ETH also looked like it wanted to dip below $1K with a low on Tuesday of $1015.
On Wednesday we saw that the EURO hit parity with the US Dollar’ that’s something that hasn’t happened since 2002. As you know, the EURO has always been above the USD - meaning that it took $1.18 US dollars to get one Euro. But as of Wednesday that has now changed!
On Thursday we saw crypto prices inching back up from their Tuesday low. But a strange thing happened as well: Stocks and global markets remained bearish with indices, gold, and oil in bearish positions too. Interesting! We’ll keep an eye on all these movements in crypto markets.
