FT WORTH, TX TO BECOME FIRST US CITY TO MINE BITCOIN!
According to USA Today, Ft Worth TX will become the first city government in the USA to mine bitcoin! Way to go Ft Worth! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
I’m familiar with that city, I lived in Ft Worth for 16 years and I was happy to leave. I have awesome friends who live there and they thoroughly enjoy their lives there, but I ran out of there as soon as my assignment in that city was over, lol! The last thing anyone should ever do is be in a place after their season there is over. Wherever it is, take my advice - when it’s time to leave, run! 🏃🏾♀️😀
Fort Worth’s Mayor has commissioned a tech pilot project that could soon catch on across the nation; it was approved by their city council and even though it’s a small-scale program that’s experimental, the city could soon determine whether to dedicate more funding to the project or not. The way I see it, Bitcoin mining has major potential in the USA because of the void left since China banned cryptocurrency mining in June of last year, so I’m happy that Ft Worth is taking the lead!
The way it works is that miners all around the world run high-powered computers to validate the transactions of everyone who buys, sells, or exchanges BTC and now from what I’ve read, the miners in Ft Worth will be hosted on a private network that will help with the security risk. They will be using 3 machines that are as small as toaster ovens 😳 that will consume the same amount of energy as a vacuum cleaner! Now THAT is the way to go Fort Worth!
Mayor Mattie Parker said, “Today, with the support and partnership of Texas Blockchain Council, we’re stepping into that world on a small scale while sending a big message.” The 3 “Bitmain Antminer S9” mining rigs will be running 24/7 in the climate-controlled IT wing of the Ft Worth City Hall.💃🏾I am excited about it (even though Ft Worth ran on ahead of New York City’s Mayor who pledged to make NYC the center of cryptocurrency and other financial innovations).😀 I have faith in God and faith in New York City that we will remain the financial capital of the world, we’ll hopefully learn from Ft Worth, and have a booming cryptocurrency hub here in NYC!
