FRIDAY FLASHBACK
It’s Friday, it’s the end of the month of September and the end of the 3rd quarter of the year. We’ve got a lot going on today! Here is what we discussed this week:
Monday: We discussed what was happening with cryptocurrency worldwide. We saw where the Russian Central Bank came into an agreement with their Ministry of Finance to allow/legalize cryptocurrency for cross-border payments. Then in Switzerland, their SEBA Bank (a digital asset banking platform) launched an ETH staking platform. Trinidad and Tobago as well as Dubai have also made major cryptocurrency moves as well, it’s a global turnaround!
Tuesday: USA Fed Chair Jerome Powell said that he wasn’t in a rush to introduce a digital form of money as other nations were across the world …. oh well!🙄 We also talked about world-famous Christie’s Auction House introducing ‘Christie’s 3.0,’ an on-chain platform for NFT art. They are now the first auction house globally to launch this platform that will allow their NFT sales to take place on ETH’s blockchain.
Wednesday: Celcius Bank CEO handed in a resignation letter, saying that his role as CEO had become a distraction.😩 (Remember that they filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection a couple of months ago). Their cryptocurrency (the CEL token) dropped more than 7% according to Coin Market Cap; but that was expected given all that’s been happening with this company lately.
Thursday: Yesterday we talked about Facebook (META) cutting employees who are unable to meet company expectations. Facebook isn’t the only company that’s considering layoffs; inflation is affecting large and small companies and everyone is having to do what’s best for them. Consumers also have to do what’s best as well. But you and I have the Holy Spirit and the Word of God that we can count on, so we’re going to pray for those who are losing their jobs and pray for ourselves as well as the economy. God never leaves us nor forsakes us!
HAPPY FRIDAY, HAVE A FUN WEEKEND!
